At Atelier Blyss, fashion isn't just about looking good; it's about feeling good, knowing that every choice we make is a step towards a more sustainable future. Join us on our journey as we share how we're weaving sustainability into the fabric of our brand.
Reducing CO2 emissions where we can
One way we're reducing our environmental footprint is by producing our pieces in Portugal. By doing so, we've managed to shorten the shipping distance to Switzerland, significantly reducing our carbon emissions.
But that's not all: our factory takes the "hands-on" approach to a whole new level. Everything happens in-house, from threading to production. This means there are no unnecessary transportation steps in-between, further reducing our CO2 emissions.
GOTS Certified cotton for cour comfort and the planet's
Our dedication to sustainability goes beyond borders and extends to every thread in our garments. We exclusively use GOTS certified cotton in our creations. The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification is like nature's seal of approval for cotton. It means that the cotton we use is grown and processed with the utmost care for the environment and those who cultivate it. GOTS cotton is pesticide-free, conserves water, and supports ethical labor practices. It also ensures that no toxic chemical would get in contact with your skin when wearing the pieces. It's a sustainable choice that feels as good as it looks.
Packaging with purpose
Our commitment to sustainability doesn't stop at the fabrics we use; it extends to every aspect of our brand, including our packaging. We use minimal, recycled, recyclable, and reusable packaging. By keeping packaging to a minimum, we use fewer resources and reduce waste. Our materials come from recycled sources, giving a new life to materials that might otherwise become waste. We encourage you to recycle our packaging, and in some cases, you can even reuse it. It's all about making sure our impact lasts longer than just one shipment.
Pre-Orders: avoiding unnecessary waste
Sustainability is not just about what we make but how we make it. That's why we've embraced the concept of pre-orders as a sustainable way to produce only what will be cherished and worn. By taking pre-orders, we avoid the excess that comes with traditional production. We craft each piece with care and precision, knowing it already has a loving home. Less production means less potential waste.
Our sustainable journey: a work in progress
We're committed to creating a brand that makes as little compromises as possible when it comes to our environmental impact. However, we understand that this is a journey, not a destination, and we're on it with you, because, as a consumer, you also play a major role! 😊
We may be far from perfect, but as our little team of two, we're unwavering in our dedication to prioritizing the protection of the environment in every decision we make.
Thank you for being part of it, your support means the world to us!
